Return & Refund Policy

Last Updated: June 17, 2026

YT Cutter is a subscription based service, so refunds here work a little differently than they would for a physical product. The moment you upgrade to Premium, the paid features unlock and we start paying to run them for you. Because of that, subscription payments are generally non-refundable.

That said, we are not interested in holding on to money we have not earned. If something genuinely went wrong, get in touch and we will take a proper look at it.

Our general policy

Premium is billed up front for the plan you pick, whether that is monthly, quarterly, six months, or yearly. Once a billing period begins, that payment is non-refundable by default. You are paying for access to the service during that period, and that access stays available to you the whole time, whether or not you end up using it.

This is normal for software that you use online. There is nothing to ship back, and the cost of keeping the servers and download infrastructure running is the same whether you download one clip or a hundred.

When we will look at a refund

We review every refund request one by one, and we do approve them when the situation calls for it. You are likely to hear yes from us in cases like these:

  • You were charged twice for the same plan, or billed by mistake.
  • A technical problem on our side stopped you from using Premium, and we could not fix it for you within a reasonable time.
  • Your subscription renewed on its own, you did not intend to renew, and you had not used any Premium downloads in the new period.
  • You were charged after cancelling because of an error on our end.

This is not a complete list. If your case is not mentioned here but feels unfair to you, tell us anyway. We would rather hear about it and sort it out.

What usually does not qualify

To be straight with you, there are a few things we normally cannot refund:

  • Changing your mind after you have already used Premium during the period.
  • Simply not using the service you paid for, when it was working and available to you.
  • Problems caused by YouTube removing or changing a specific video, which is outside our control.

Even in these cases, if you think yours is the exception, it is worth asking. We look at the details before we decide anything.

How to request a refund

Send us a message through our contact page and include a few details so we can find your account quickly: the email address you used to subscribe, the date of the charge, and a short note on what went wrong. The more context you give us, the faster we can help.

We try to reply within 2 to 3 business days. If we approve a refund, it goes back to your original payment method. Depending on your bank or card provider, it can take a few extra days to show up on your statement.

Cancelling your subscription

You can cancel any time from your account. Cancelling stops future charges, and you keep your Premium access until the end of the period you have already paid for. Cancelling by itself does not refund the current period, but if you have cancelled and still feel you are owed something, the contact route above is always open to you.

Before you start a chargeback

If you are unhappy with a charge, please talk to us before asking your bank to reverse it. A chargeback can get your account locked or suspended while it is investigated, and it is almost always slower than letting us help you directly. We would much rather make it right ourselves.

Need to reach us?
